Water Damage in Jacksonville Commercial Property

A hot water tank in the attic burst and flooded this dentist office over a weekend, affecting multiple hallways, examination rooms, the X-ray room, and utility rooms.  The spraying water just missed a $100,000 X-ray machine. (This photo  shows  only a small portion of the job.)

SERVPRO of Jacksonville Northwest arrived on the scene and performed restoration work, as the dental practice was able to continue seeing patients, which pleased the staff greatly. We removed:

-the wet and damaged ceiling tiles

-small potions of drywall at the baseboards so we could dry the walls without tearing out the thick, hotel-style wallpaper used throughout the offices

-the vinyl flooring to expose and dry the wood subfloor. 

SERVPRO of Jacksonville Northwest was able to salvage both the carpet and the walls/wallpaper. This job is a great example of our franchise’s commitment to restore rather than replace where possible--and preferable for the client. Tearing out these walls and replacing all of the drywall and wallpaper would have cost the owner significantly more in both downtime and money. Our restoration efforts made for easy repairs by the owner’s handyman/contractor, within days instead of weeks.
